HEALTHY LIFESTYLE JOURNEY

Living a healthier lifestyle is very important to me but I won't say I'm this health freak who is afaird of everything although I am conscious of what I consum and I'm not just talking about food.
I want to say about in 2016 is when I started caring more about what I was feeding my mind and body. It started with something simple like cutting out soda and processed chips then moving towards leaving beef and pork alone, I started to research what happenes when you consum too much of these things and the information that I recieve was beyond scary but I won't go too much into it ( Learn more ) . I wanted the best for myself and that is more than my physical health but my mental health as well, I'm a big advocate of self-care/mental health which is something that isn't talked about much in the Black community so, I had to teach myself and do as much research as I could.
The first steps into making sure my mental health was taking care of was by eliminating certain t.v shows and following certain people/pages on social media. I truly believe when you indulge in things that bring negativity, it effects the way you think or behave ( people can be easily influenced ) . The second step was to figuring out how to find peace within such as : mediation and taking time out for myself. As a lifestyle blogger my life is out there to show but there are some things that I believe should stay privite and learn to keep to myself.
I want my readers to do their part when it comes to wanting better for themselves
and I believe they can even if its one step at a time.
