when it comes to my care routine each week might change depending on what season we are in. In the winter; I might do this every other day, opposed to twice a week in the summer. Caring for myself is so important and although I won't go into every single detail about how I schedule my care days, I still want to share with you a few things that have made a difference in my life when I kept a consistent weekly routine schedule.
My care routine is something I do to focus on my outter body but it also effects my inner body as well, by calming me down mentally and helping me focus more on just myself in those moment. I believe when you take atleast one day out the week to focus on yourself it takes some of the pressure off of your shoulders from the days before and makes all of the differenc in the way you feel. I usually set my care days on Sundays and Wednesdays if possible, but sometimes I will switch it up.
When I'm having a very exhausting week, I can not wait for those care days. I usually start off with cleaning up, yes! when my area is clean I feel my best because it's a fresh feel and everything is in line. My environment is an important part of my care days and this is why I always light my ' Every Single Day ' candles by shari.co ( shop here ) because it helps set the room perfectly with it's lemongrass and jasmine aroma.
I love to remove my makeup and applying my bentonite clay mask to help detoxify my pores and remove any build up dirty.
Indian Healing Clay is what I use ( shop here )
and a few tsps of acv ( apple cider viniger )
I useally let that harden and then hop in the shower.
Once In the shower I do not take my mask off right away, I will wash up, repeat affirmations and then go in with my homemade coffee scrub for my body.
You can use any coffee grains of your choice
a little bit of white sugar, I wouldn't try raw sugar because it's a bit too rough
and a drop or two of tea tree oil and pepperment oil.
After I will rinse everything off and go into moisturizing my skin.
For my body I will always use fur signature oil ( shop here ) mixed in with my lotion of choice, The fur oil is great for hydrating problem areas and also helps with ingrows. I'll also go into my Task Force Nine Cream by The Orgainc Skin Co ( shop here ) for my face only, it is made with Turmeric which is amazing for getting rid of dark spots and 9 other beneficial ingredients. Aloe vera is used daily for all over the body, this plant is high in vitamin c & we can't forget about a toner.
